Youth United is working on a campaign to enhance parks in Merced, making them more accessible and enjoyable for the youth in our community. We believe that well-maintained parks play a crucial role in positive growth, physical and social engagement for young people.
Youth United (YU) is a new youth led program in Merced that focuses on social and racial justice within our communities. Youth United works to address current policy issues on areas from public parks and roadway conditions to affordable housing and employment opportunities. As a youth-led program, YU utilizes Youth Participatory Action Research methodology to identify and develop intentional advocacy strategies that center youth voices and experiences in creating lasting policy change.
