Battling Demons: How I Came Out

February 7, 2013 /

The intentions of my writing is not for your sympathy, I wrote this because I want to send a message to who ever is reading this to let you know that you are not alone when it comes to questioning your sexual identity and you shouldn’t hide behind
a mask. Don’t lock yourself in the closet, get out there, proud of who you are be- cause being who you truly are never makes you a bad person. I say we get out and educate people about this matter because there is so much ignorance out in the world and it just doesn’t make sense.

I always loved stories that ended with quotes, so here goes, “No one in America should ever be afraid to walk down the street holding hands with the person they love.” – Barack Obama. No one should be afraid or be ashamed or be bullied or picked on because of who they choose to live with for the rest of their lives, and the government should start being an example for a better, healthier and more educated community, they should open their eyes and realize that there shouldn’t even be a law, because love is unto itself a higher law.
