I made this poem because I know people who still struggle with their identity and being accepted.  Too many times, I’ve gotten in arguments to defend my friends and family. This is a very sensitive subject to me, and I feel I must stand up against hate because  LGBTQ+ love is no different from any other love.

Community Celebrates the Reopening of the LGBT Center

Around 75 people attended the ceremony which included speakers, live performances, food and a silent auction. The Center provides resources and serves as a safe space for LGBTQ youth and allies to gather.

After SCOTUS Marriage Equality Ruling, LGBTQA Fight Far From Over

My celebration of the Supreme Court decision comes with the knowledge that the new law is not a cure-all. I'm happy that America has recognized that everyone deserves to be with person they love without limitations, but I will not stop pushing for full equity in my community. This fight is far from over.
